Anand Draws again, Abhijeet Gupta beat A plukkal at Corus

Alexei Shirov’s lead in the Corus top-division standings dwindled to a mere half point after he incurred his first defeat of the tournament in round-seven action against Hikaru Nakamura of the U.S.

World Champion Vishy Anand drew again his 7^th game at Corus 2010

Playing against Italian Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana Vishy Anand exchanged some hard blows in a game that “was tame at the start but fun at the end,” as Van Wely put it watching the encounter in the press room.

 

In The Group B  Game between Pentala Harikrishna and Parimarjan Negi had  a lot of interesting moves and both the Indians fought like tigers to win the same . With no body ready to surrender they agreed for a draw. This game was also awarded a prize for the best gam,e of the Group

 

In Group C Soumaya Swamimathan  drew her game  while Abhijeet Gupta made an easy win afainst his opponent blog comments powered by Disqus
